Cyprus is a food lover's dream and a holiday at Villa Rockheart gives you the choice of eating out at a variety of wonderful local restaurants or creating your own masterpieces to eat at home. We have a variety of eating places around the villa: a formal dining room, dining kitchen, full dining terrace, poolside dining or dining under the trees in our hillside garden. Our kitchen is fully equipped with a wide variety of kitchen equipment, china and glassware. One of our daughters, www.foodgoblin.com is a food writer, radio presenter and private chef so you would rightly expect our facilities not to disappoint. As well as our fantastic dining kitchen we also take advantage of the warm climate to cook outdoors whenever possible using our brick built bbq and traditional woodburning oven. The bbq is of course excellent for grilled meats (the local lamb is divine) and fish and the woodburning oven lends itself to homecooked pizza, bread, calzone and also roasted meats and slow cooked stews.
Cypriot fruit and vegetables are incredibly varied and plentiful and taste of the sun! There is a daily farmers' market nearby which sells wonderful fruit and vegetables and we have a state of the art juicer - an Oscar Multimax - which can work magic on them. Produce your own fruit juice, vegetable purees, pizza bases, fruit cocktails..... all delicious.
Coffee is another Cypriot passion. Turkish of course, served dark and sweet, perfect with a Cypriot brandy. Or grind your favourite beans in our Gaggia electric grinder and brew a perfect espresso or cappuccino in our Pavoni coffee maker. We also have a French Press, an electronic drip system and stove top espresso makers!
