Villa Rockheart

Villa Rockheart provides a luxurious level of accommodation combined with the comforts of home, giving you the ideal base for your holiday in Northern Cyprus. The villa sits just below the village of Ilgaz, which is about 20 minutes west of Kyrenia (Girne) and about 40 minutes from Ercan airport.  The beaches are an easy 5—10 minutes drive.  The situation is ideal because you have all the benefits of being very close to restaurants, nightlife and watersports, but in a very serene and tranquil location.

Downstairs, the villa comprises a spacious marble hallway leading to a large lounge furnished with deeply comfortable couches and chairs, a Bang and Olufsen television, dvd player, stereo and video player.  There is plenty of room for everyone to relax in comfort.  As you would expect, the furnishings  are of good quality and decorations are stylishly tasteful.   

All of the downstairs rooms give access to the enormous, shaded terrace that runs the full length of the house.  This spacious outdoor room has wonderful sea views and will become your favourite place to enjoy a cocktail while watching the sunset.   In winter you can warm yourself in front of the fireplace in the lounge and dine in the formal dining room.

The modern kitchen with spectacular granite worktops comes complete with every convenience— washing machine, dishwasher, built in oven, hob, huge fridge/freezer, hot/ice water dispenser, microwave— most everything you could need or want.  There is an additional dining area in the kitchen and access to both the main terrace and the swimming pool terrace.

Upstairs there are four luxurious double bedrooms, all air conditioned/heated.  Three of them have king sized beds and one has twin beds.  All the beds have extremely high quality mattresses and are furnished with superb bed linens— you can be sure of a comfortable night’s sleep.

The master bedroom has an en-suite wet room and the other bedrooms share a bathroom complete with bath and shower.  Two of the bedrooms have private balconies and all of them have large picture windows allowing you to wake up to the fantastic sea views. The mountainside location and constant gentle breeze keeps the property cooler than those at sea level. 

The stairways and downstairs rooms have marble floors throughout which are both luxurious and  wonderfully cool on hot days.  The bedrooms have wooden floors and the bathrooms are ceramic tiled. 

Outside, the extra large 11m x 6m swimming pool is a crystal clear delight all day and is lit for your enjoyment on warm summer nights.  A Roman end gives easy access for the young and old.  The spaciously  wide terraces around the pool are ideal for enjoying both sun and shade on the comfortable loungers and terrace furniture.  On summer evenings you have the choice to dine in a variety of outdoor locations, in the garden, around the pool or on the main terrace.

There are delightful gardens surrounding the property planted with bougainvillea, jasmine, almond, jacaranda, orange and lemon trees.  There is even a wonderful grapevine which is scrambling over the terrace roof. Beyond the garden borders the hillsides are green with olive trees, firs, wild thyme and almond trees, all adding to the fantastic views.  Our gardens literally blend into the wild mountainsides.  Villa Rockheart and its gardens are extremely private and you will not be overlooked by anybody whilst enjoying the pool and terraces.
